After purchasing The Breakfast Club, London, the client wanted something different as he tackled the much needed upgrade to the space. He wanted to see a lot of wood and lights, intertwined together. After a sit-down sketching session, we agreed the design and started work on the ceiling. The section was split into two to build the wood design over existing steel beams. The biggest challenge was fitting dimmable lights with hidden cables, controlled by smart technologies throughout the wood work.
We then created the walls. We left the brick walls exposed and unchanged to mix the new style wooden walls with the building's original features. The final touch was storage space built into the benches that ran along the brick walls.
